一、Horizontal packaging
Method description: Horizontal is the default factory packaging method for color-coated coil manufacturers. Generally, it is wrapped with iron sheet on the outside and lined with moisture-proof paper on the inside. The inner diameter of the coil is usually 508 millimeters or 610 millimeters. Some customers have special requirements and will add iron sleeves inside to prevent the coil from collapsing. However, adding iron sleeves will be charged separately, and the prices may vary among different manufacturers.
Advantages and disadvantages: This packaging method can protect the color-coated steel coil to a certain extent, preventing it from getting damp and so on. However, during long-distance transportation or handling, if it is not properly fixed, there may be situations such as the steel coil shifting.

 

 

二、Vertical packaging
Method description: Vertical packaging emerged later than horizontal packaging. It involves placing the core of the color-coated roll upwards and fixing the bottom on a wooden tray.
Advantages and disadvantages: It is more secure during transportation and can prevent the collapse of the coil without the use of iron sleeves, ensuring that the color-coated coil is safely delivered to the customer without any damage. However, since it is more troublesome to load and unload vehicles than the horizontal type, certain additional costs will be incurred.
三、Simple packaging
Method description: It is mainly used for short-distance transportation or situations where packaging requirements are not high. The outer layer is protected with waterproof kraft paper.
Advantages and disadvantages: The protective performance is relatively simple and the cost is relatively low, but the protective effect is not as good as that of horizontal and vertical packaging.
Standard export packaging
Method description: The outer surface is wrapped with waterproof kraft paper and galvanized iron, and the outside of the steel coil is also protected with galvanized iron sheet. It is often used in long-distance transportation and container transportation, and steel wire is used for reinforcement.
Advantages and disadvantages: It can better protect the surface of color-coated steel coils and has a better waterproof effect, but the packaging cost is relatively high.
